Run BIMIT AI on your scan
Upload a point cloud on BIMIT and get a BIM model and floor plans back.
BIMIT AI turns your point cloud into a BIM model and floor plans, usually in about an hour. You upload the scan, tell us where the building is, check its floor area and start, and we email you when your files are ready.
Before you start
- One registered point cloud of the whole building, as an E57, LAS, LAZ or XYZ file, with color (RGB).
- Within your setting's size limit. Open What's included under the setting on BIMIT to see it.
- An IPX account in your organization. The project is filed under one of its locations, and its free area is used first.
Run BIMIT AI
Open BIMIT and choose a setting
Sign in to IPX and open BIMIT. Choose BIMIT100 or BIMIT200. If you belong to more than one organization, pick the one the project is for.
Upload your scan
Click Choose your file and pick your point cloud. We check the file and estimate its floor area while it uploads, and you can carry on with the next steps.
Tell us where the building is
Type the building's address and pick it from the suggestions, or choose one of your organization's locations. The project is filed under that location.
Check the floor area
We estimate the floor area from your scan. If you know the real figure, type it in Total floor area. Your final payment follows the floor area the BIMIT engine measures as it builds your model, and if it measures less, you pay less.
Review and start
Your organization's free area is used first. When it covers the whole building, click Review and start, then Start modeling: there is nothing to pay. Otherwise click Review and pay: you pay half now, and we charge the rest to the same card when your files are ready.
Follow it and get your files
The project opens under Your projects, where you can follow each step: the scan check, the levels found, the model, the floor plan and your files. We email you when it's ready. Open the project and click Download to get your files.
We tell you what to fix, on the project and by email. The usual causes are an E57 that holds several separate scans, a point cloud without color, or one exported far from its origin. Register it into one point cloud, export it with color in a local coordinate system, and upload it again.
A Revit model and floor plans, with the floor area of each level. For every scope modeled and checked by people, choose BIMIT300 instead.
