What's changed on the upload page
The page header now reads "Turn your point cloud into a floor plan" — a direct statement of what you're about to do. The dropzone specifies exactly what it accepts: RGB point clouds only, in
.e57
or
.xyz
format, up to 20 GB. If your file doesn't meet those requirements, you'll know before you upload rather than after.
A two-step indicator — Step 1: Upload · Step 2: Review your floor plan — now sits on the page so you can see where you are in the process at a glance.
An inline disclaimer clarifies that BIMIT floor plans are produced for renovation and space-planning work, not for construction documents. This has always been the case; the page now says so plainly so you can set expectations with your team before handing off an output.
Error messages
When something goes wrong, the error message now describes the problem in plain terms — either a file issue (wrong format, too large) or a system issue — without exposing internal system names. The progress bar no longer appears at 0% when a job errors out.
3D model viewer
For completed jobs that include a 3D model, the model now renders directly in the page after the point-cloud viewer has finished loading. Previously the two viewers could conflict; the updated behavior avoids that.
"Meet with Solutions" replaces "Get More Processing"
The button for teams that need additional processing capacity now reads Meet with Solutions and opens a scheduling link. If your team is hitting volume limits or needs to discuss a larger project, this is the fastest path to a conversation.
