Viewer crashes, quota errors, and PDF download failures resolved
Several issues affecting the BIM viewer, quota checks, and PDF downloads in BIMIT reports have been corrected.
Several issues affecting the BIM viewer, quota checks, and PDF downloads in BIMIT reports have been corrected.
BIM viewer crash on Section tool: The Forge viewer would crash when using the Section tool in certain point-cloud-enabled projects. This is resolved — the Section tool works as expected regardless of whether a point cloud is loaded alongside the model.
BIMIT Engine color overlay barely visible: The purple overlay used to highlight elements in the BIMIT Engine was nearly invisible against dark materials in Revit-rendered views. The overlay opacity has been increased so the highlight is clearly legible.
Quota check errors: Up to five organizations saw repeated 500 errors when the platform tried to load their remaining BIMIT processing quota. This caused quota information to fail to display rather than show a safe fallback. Both the underlying database conflict and the error handling have been corrected — quota now loads reliably, and if a transient failure occurs the platform shows a safe default instead of an error.
PDF download failures in BIMIT reports: Some PDF links generated within BIMIT reports failed to open or download, returning an error instead of the file. The cause was a URL-encoding issue that produced malformed paths. This is fixed — PDF downloads from BIMIT reports should work consistently.
Viewer token failures: In rare cases, a transient failure from the upstream viewer service caused the model viewer to fail to load entirely. The platform now retries automatically before surfacing an error, so brief service interruptions are less likely to interrupt your session.
