Revit files uploaded to a project now automatically translate into viewable 3D models. Once you upload a .RVT file through the Upload modal, translation begins immediately in the background. You don't need to trigger it manually or wait before moving on to other work.
During translation, the upload modal shows a "3D translation in progress" message so you know the process has started. The BIM tab in the viewer will show a spinner with a "Preparing 3D viewer..." message while the model is being processed. Translation typically takes a few minutes depending on file size and model complexity.
Once translation completes, the model becomes viewable directly in the BIM viewer — no local software required. If a translation error occurs, the file is still saved to your project and accessible for download; only the in-browser 3D view is affected.
This applies to .RVT uploads going forward. Files uploaded before this change will not automatically re-translate; re-upload the file to get the 3D viewer experience.
