When a BIMIT project arrives without an associated building location, there was no way to attach it to one from inside the platform — the project sat orphaned, disconnected from your portfolio.
BIMIT projects that arrive without a linked location now include a claim link in their delivery email. Opening that link brings up the Claim Project modal directly, where you can search for an existing location in your portfolio or create a new one. Once you confirm the link, the platform routes you straight to the Scan tab for that location so you can review the delivered model in context.
To use the flow: open the claim link from your delivery email. The Claim Project modal opens automatically. Use the Location search field to find an existing building — start typing an address and select from the suggestions — or choose to create a new location if this is a building not yet in your portfolio. Click Confirm and the project is attached. You land on the location's Scan tab ready to review.
If a project already has a location assigned when it is delivered, the email link goes directly to that location's Scan tab as before. The claim flow only appears for projects that arrive without a location.
