Files in a project used to be grouped differently depending on where you were looking — the download modal, the BIM tab, the CAD tab, the report sidebar, and the export flows each had their own logic for deciding what belonged where. IFC files and point clouds sometimes went missing from exports entirely because the old logic identified file types by filename extension, which didn't always match the actual file.
Everything now uses a single classification system. A file's category is determined by what it actually is — its type and verification status — not by what its filename ends with. That means IFC files, point clouds, and other assets that previously slipped through now appear in the right place, every time.
What's different in each surface:
No settings have changed and no action is needed on your end. If you use the ACC or Procore export flows regularly, you may notice files that were previously absent now appearing in the selector — those files were always in your project, they just weren't being surfaced correctly.
